I'd just like to clarify a few things about this page (some issues have come to my attention based on this page. The "autolevels" and "autocolors" images presented in my "comparison" were only made to illustrate exactly how *red* the video of the original R2 is. As I recall, when images showing the red tint were originally posted on a forum I visit, people said that they couldn't see it, and that it wasn't a problem. I never intended the modified images to show what the print *should* look like. Rather, how red the R2 is, and how much difference a simple colour correction can make (in fact, those modified images are much closer to the original print than the actual captures are). As to the sizing... well, they were simply re-sized before being uploaded. They weren't intended for a pixel by pixel analysis; rather for a glimpse at what the DVDs look like, and what they *could* look like. I'm glad that a histogram analysis has been done, as it's something I've been thinking of doing, but far too lazy to do! This would appear to be most conclusive evidence of a red tint problem to date.
